"I never planned to start MakeWave
It began with a pottery class that reminded me what peace felt like after years of chasing deadlines and goals while I was building another company (VeeSync) battling my own mental health struggles.
That moment of calm and when the pottery artist shared how he struggles to find visibility opened my eyes to a bigger purpose:
helping artists be seen, venues come alive, and people in my city find small, meaningful breaks from the rush of everyday life.
I wanted to create a space where artists could keep doing what they love, get paid fairly and consistently, and never have to give up on their craft just because they couldn’t fill a class.
MakeWave is my way of giving back, a space built to help you slow down, do something you love, and through your participation, help others get the support they need through therapy and counselling. Because
"no one is ever denied help just because they can’t afford it."
